I am new to the webiste.
I have come accross this website, who have realsed their prediction of top 100 superyachts in 2010, and i thought that u guys would want to have a look.

Hello Sea people:

I do not know the politcaly correct term sorry. I have a Small hotel and nine apartments located less the a mile from port everglades. I am not giving the name as I read the rules and do not want to advertise, however I won't like to know what crew people are looking for in quarters......and about what you whould like to pay....I have seven room types so i can be quie flexable....do crews like private rooms or do you prefer to share, should I price per night or the week.....what is the adverage leanth of stat? anything you can tell me is a help....PS I am in Fort Lauderdale please post any advice......

Scandic Yachts Scandic 58 Classic is a motor yacht with a flybridge. The yacht is specially designed to meet the requirements for luxury, well being and for high speed. To enhance its performance, this boat is outfitted with all the necessary additional equipments. The yacht is made of reinforced fiber polyester (frp); as the main hull and upper structure are made of frp material and built in sandwich-construction with comb-board of the same material. The shape of the structure is V model single bottom. The hull and the upper structure are covered with white gel coat for extra protection against water encroachment, ultraviolet radiation and aging... The resin layer adopts water-fast unsaturated polyester resin and surface mat, the back layer is pasted with a water-fast unsaturated resin and non alkaline fiber glass The yacht is equipped with two Volvo 575 HP engines, double propeller double rudder and advanced communication and navigation systems. The line type of the appearance of the whole yacht is smooth, the main tone of the yacht white; the cabin is decorated with imported good quality teak. The sleeping quarters are fit for eight passengers. There are two large cabins in the lower deck; both fitted with double-beds and 19" LCD TV. A small cabin with a single bed is located adjacent to the staircase and to the master cabin. In the mid upper cabin, the sofa in the saloon is designed to become a sleeping bed for two, if needed. Two large and excellent bathrooms, fitted with showers, are located, one adjacent to the master cabin, and outfitted with a washing machine, and the second one is next to the guest cabin, aft of the vessel. Another small shower is located aft of the main deck. The saloon area in the main deck is brightly designed; as it offers excellent comfort and bulky space. It is equipped with white leather sofa. This same space contains one 32" LCD TV set, a DVD player, a large remote controlled projection screen that can be used as a curtain, a video projector, bassbox, 10 Hi-Fi loudspeakers with two located outside the saloon, wireless internet connection for about 30 computers in the United Arab Emirates area and a color printer. On the same deck, the galley area, located just aft of the helmsman’s seat, is outfitted with all the necessary appliances. The four sides of every sleeping cabin, the furniture as well as the floors, inside and outside the main deck and the fly bridge, are decked with stunning teak wood. Light colored leather is used not only on the sofa and in the ceiling of the main deck saloon cabin, but also in the sleeping quarters as well as on the flybridge sofa. A sidewalk on both sides of the shipboard leads to the sunbathing area on the main deck, above the master cabin. On top of bulwark, there is a safety handrail and fender mooring horn. The flybridge is larger enough and comfortable for sun bathing and relaxation. It is fitted with a pilot seat and controls, a white sofa, with tea table and awning. An integrated bathing platform with deck in solid teak is connected to the main deck with telescopic stainless steel ladder. The yacht was built in full harmony with the strong standards set by the company and it is CE classified B-Class and made for the European market. Help Needed!

My name is Chris Pownall from a company called Bonding Solutions and we have recently been selling one of our products to more and more people that either own or work on boats or yachts.

The product is called Bond-Tight Marine Fastener and is a reclosable fastening system and it's an alternative product to 3M Dual Lock, our few customers have said that the Dual Lock is very expensive and hard to get hold of.

My back ground is not from the Marine industry and I wanted to ask you all for help as I would like to get this product out to more people but am not really sure of the best ways to do it as I am not in the industry.

If anyone could offer any tips or advice I would really appreciate it, we are a small company which means we can keep prices low and tailor for individual orders.

Hi All,

I decided last 2008 to start a career on the sea!

I am interested in working as a massage therapist and personal carer on cruise ships and or private yachts.

I was going to say I left it a bit late but really I am looking forward to my first sailing. Being one of the outdoor adventurous types I am always excited to see different countries and life from another point of view.

Well I would be happy to hear from any similar applicants or any words of inspiration or tips would be great. I am prepared to work hard to get my qualifications to!

Different categories of fish boat

Here's a few fish yacht related talk that i'd like share with you.

Fishing boats fall into four subcategories.

The first subcategory is the Canoe. Canoes are usually made of aluminum and they have very distinctive shapes where it can easily be moved by its users on water by the rowing actions of paddles. It entails a balanced and rhythmical type of rowing which cannot be done by many.

The second subcategory is the Rowboat. Rowboats are in the form of a semi-V-shape. Most are made up of aluminum and there are some that are made out of wood. They are usually no more than 14 feet long and usually have benches along the side where people can sit and fish from. Rowboats are moved either by using a pair of oars (one on each side) or attaching a small engine to the rear.

The third subcategory is the Johnboat. Johnboats are from 10 to 18 feet long which is always proportional to its width. Most of them are also made of aluminum. They are not just economical and lightweight, but also they are very stable which is beneficial for fishing. These Johnboats can be run by either rowing or using a motor engine as well.

The fourth and last category of fishing boats is the Utility boat. Utility boats are also made out of aluminum, and like Rowboats, they are semi-V-shaped. Their length ranges from 12 to 18 feet. Utility boats are generally used for professional trade-fishermen who catch using nets.

I was just wondering if anyone saw the Nelson celebrations a few weeks back? I watched the BBC coverage as i wasn't able to make it, but it looked great from the sofa!

Was anyone out on the water? I Think i saw some of the Jubilee Sailing Trust's tallships out there - they are a good way to get some "on the water" experience although there isn't too much sailing involved!
